CHELSEA and Arsenal will have to dig deep if they want to fight it out for Roma ace Kostas Manolas.
The player has reportedly agreed a lucrative new contract at the Italian giants which includes a £32.75million release clause.
That would be the starting bid for any tug-of-war over the star defender.
Both London clubs have been linked with the Greece international, who is considered one of the best central defenders in Serie A.
Italian champions Juventus are also said to be keeping tabs on his situation in Roma while Manolas snubbed a big-money move to Zenit St Petersburg in the summer.
His new deal is his reward for his loyalty upping his annual salary from £2.5million to around 3.1million.
