THE deadline is fast approaching for schoolchildren intending to enter the 2017 official Gibraltar Christmas card design competition.
The deadline for submission is 9.00am on Friday November 17. The competition is open to all schools in Gibraltar for Years 4 to 7 pupils and submitted through the school.
Entries can be made either as landscape or portrait-oriented designs. They must be designed by hand – computer-generated cards will not be accepted. To allow for easy print reproduction, designs must not be three-dimensional.
All entries will be judged by a panel of judges, including the Governor and Mrs Davis, based on three criteria - a representation of the spirit and events of a Gibraltarian Christmas; visual and emotional impact; and design originality.
The winner will receive an iPad mini 4 Wi-Fi 128GB donated by Newton Systems Ltd. The winner along with runners-up will also be invited to lunch with the Governor and Mrs Davis at The Convent.
