MANCHESTER United look likely to miss out on long-term transfer target Ivan Perisic.
Perisic is said to be close to agreeing a new contract with Inter Milan, according to reports in Italy.
United have been tracking the Croatian international all summer as they bid to sustain a Premier League title challenge ahead of the new season.
But with the Europa League winners struggling to settle on a fee with the Italian giants, the 28-year-old has been offered fresh terms to extend his stay at the San Siro.
According to Premium Sport, Inter have offered the winger a new pay deal of £5million-a-season contract in an attempt to convince Perisic his future lies in staying with them.
